Abstract

Purpose– Al-Adab Al-Mufrad by Imam Al-Bukhari is an important work that focuses on ethics education based on Hadith. In the context of contemporary education, with increasingly complex moral challenges, this study aims to explore the methods and relevance of ethics education outlined in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, as well as its potential for application in modern educational systems.

Design/methods/approach– This research employs a library research method with qualitative analysis of the Hadiths found in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad. This approach allows the researcher to identify ethical education methods and assess their relevance to contemporary educational theories.

Findings– The research findings indicate that the ethics education methods in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad include role modeling, advice, and dialogue. These methods prove to be relevant to modern character education approaches. However, adaptation to the context of contemporary education, particularly in multicultural and digital environments, presents an important challenge.

Research implications/limitations– This study highlights the need to integrate the ethical values found in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad into a more adaptive and technology-based modern curriculum. The limitation of this research lies in the lack of empirical data regarding the implementation of these methods in formal, diverse educational contexts.

Originality/value– This research provides a unique contribution by linking classical ethics education methods based on Hadith with the needs and challenges of contemporary education. Its originality lies in the contextual approach to ethics education, blending Islamic tradition with modern educational innovations.
