Ar-Fachruddin: Journal of Islamic Education invites scholars, researchers, university lecturers, and educational practitioners to submit original scholarly articles employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to examine the development, transformation, and future directions of Islamic education in response to the evolving dynamics of the digital era. The overarching theme of this issue is: “Digital Transformation and the Future of Islamic Education.”

This special issue focuses on systematic investigations into the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Human–AI Collaboration, digital learning innovation, digital and media literacy, data-driven educational approaches, Learning Analytics, and ethical governance of technology within Islamic education.

Furthermore, this issue explores how digital transformation shapes pedagogical practices, the institutional sustainability of Islamic educational institutions, educational quality enhancement, and the development of digitally competent Muslim learners in addressing the challenges and opportunities of digital society. Contributions are expected not only to identify existing research developments but also to provide critical syntheses, identify research gaps, and formulate recommendations and future research directions relevant to the advancement of Islamic education.
