Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Raudlatul Muta'allimin 1 Wonokasian Wonoayu Sidoarjo about the basic concepts of the solar system through interactive and fun learning. This activity includes presenting material about the solar system creatively, such as through songs and simulations, as well as direct sun observations using a telescope. Through this approach, it is hoped that students can more easily understand abstract concepts in astronomy and develop a higher interest in learning. This research uses a qualitative approach to provide an in-depth picture of students' perceptions of astronomy learning and the impact of community service activities. The results of the activities showed that students were very enthusiastic and actively involved in all the activities carried out. They not only gain new knowledge about the solar system, but also observation and data analysis skills. This activity also succeeded in building good cooperation between the service team, the school and students.
