Implementation of Problem Based Learning Integrated STEAM (PBL-STEAM) to Improve Students Science Literacy: A Case Study at SMPN 3 Blitar

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' science literacy skills after applying the STEAM integrated problem-based learning model at SMPN 3 Blitar. This study used quantitative research with a pre experimental design method, with a research design design of one group pretest-posttest design. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon and n-Gain tests. The results showed that the STEAM integrated problem-based learning model effectively improved students' science literacy skills. Wilcoxon test results show a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), which indicates a significant increase. There was an increase in the average score of 0.66, with 38% of students achieving a high n-Gain score and 62% in the medium category.
